What is the hardest thing to deal with after a divorce?

According to various sources, the hardest thing to deal with after divorce is different for everyone.

Here are some of the most common answers:

1.  Loneliness

2.  Loss of the life you knew

3.  Lack of control, especially when it comes to children

4.  The pain of the divorce process itself

5.  Re-discovering who you are, who you want to be and moving forward with the life you want to live

6.  Dealing with your emotions and giving yourself time to process them

It's important to remember that everyone's experience is unique, and what may be difficult for one person may not be for another.

It's okay to take your time to process your emotions and seek support from friends, family, or a counsellor or therapist.

With time, you can learn to cope with the challenges of life after divorce and find out what living your new life means for you.

When we are working with couples in family mediation some of these issues come up and mediation can provide couples with an opportunity to talk about how they are going to move forward after their separation or divorce. We also work with some excellent counsellors and therapists that we can recommend to our clients if they think that talking to them would be helpful.

If you think family mediation might be right for you, to help you keep your separation and divorce as stress free as possible, reduce legal fees and avoid court you can book a free call with us on our website or email us at hello@familymandm.co.uk or call us direct on 0800 206 2258.
